  • Receivables Services Assessment
    What is it? A Receivables Services Assessment takes a deep dive into your accounts receivables. After asking and getting the answers to a series of queries covering not only the numbers but the who, what and where of your invoicing and payments, we'll get down to what you can do, right now, to improve your situation. Fee Structure:For companies with an annual billing of 1 million or less: $1800 For companies with an annual billing of greater than 1 million up to 5 million: $3600 For companies with annual billing greater than 5 million, please contact me. Commitment on Your Part:Access to you (CEO) every week for two hours for a video call AND access to the information required by the project. There will be work for you to accomplish each week. We will also communicate by phone and/or email during the week which may be initiated by either of us. We'll have four video meetings. Commitment on My Part: In addition to our live time together, I will do the necessary research into your industry and related standards to maximize our time and results. What You Will Have: A complete and thorough understanding of your Accounts Receivables and specific tactical steps you will take to collect the money owed to your company.
  • Improved Receivables System
    What is it? The Improved Receivables System builds on the Accounts Receivable Review and takes you to next level of improvement. For example, there was likely a lot of hand-work required to collect your outstanding receivables during the review process. Now we want to deal with structural barriers to getting paid and how best to address those barriers. The goal is to create, develop and implement a system that will work successfully for your company on a regular basis. Please note: I do not sell accounting software. We may look at your software if we find that it's not meeting your present needs and we may develop specifications to help you select new software, if that's needed. Fee Structure: For companies with an annual billing of 1 million or less: $2400 For companies with an annual billing of greater than 1 million up to 5 million: $4800 For companies with annual billing greater than 5 million, please contact me. What You Will Have: A complete and thorough understanding of your Accounts Receivables and a working strategy that you can begin to implement immediately, while we continue to develop next steps. Your Accounts Receivable will be at an entirely new level of ease and consistency.
  • Budget Development
    A Budget is a financial path laid through time. It is easy to focus on the problems of your actual work and to ignore or put off the business aspect of your practice. When this happens, you are not making sure that your practice exists over time. And the decisions you make are using only part of the information, endangering your income and the income of everyone who works with you. Budget Development - Phase III In Budget Development we go through financial history and then combine relevant data with your plans for the near term. Fee Structure:For companies/firms with an annual billing of 1 million or less: $2400 For companies/firms with an annual billing greater than 1 million up to 5 million: $5000 For companies/firms with an annual billing greater than 5 million, let's talk. Commitment on Your Part: Access to you every week for a scheduled video call for up to two hours each. There will be work for you to accomplish each week. We may also communicate by phone and/or email during the week, which may be initiated by either of us. We will have a minimum of four sessions. Commitment on My Part: I will make sure to understand your business and what is important to you, in your business. I will honor your priorities and help you realize your dreams by bringing financial management down-to-earth.   • Cash Flow Review
    What is it? A Cash Flow Review takes a deep dive into your company's/firm's Cash Flow. After asking and getting the answers to a series of queries covering not only the numbers but the who, what and where of your invoicing and payments, we'll get down to what you can do, right now, to improve your situation. Fee Structure: For companies with an annual billing of 1 million or less: $3600 For companies with an annual billing of greater than 1 million up to 5 million: $7200 For companies with an annual billing of greater than 5 million up to 10 million: $10800 For companies with annual billing greater than 10 million, please contact me. Commitment on Your Part:Access to you (CEO) every week for two hours for a video call AND access to the information required by the project. There will be work for you to accomplish each week. We will also communicate by phone and/or email during the week which may be initiated by either of us. We'll have approximately eight video meetings, depending on the factors. Commitment on My Part:In addition to our live time together, I will do the necessary research into your industry and related standards to maximize our time and results. What You Will Have: A complete and thorough understanding of your Cash Flow and specific strategic and tactical steps you have started taking during the process to improve your cash flow and stabilize inflows and outflows.
  • Financial Systems Review
    What is it? The Financial Systems Review is a comprehensive ten month process where we review each part of your company's financial and reporting processes. At each step we take the time for you to have a solid working knowledge of the area (if you don't already feel completely comfortable). We look at what's working and what's not working. After taking a deep dive into your information, we create, develop and begin to implement strategy and tactics to improve that area. Here are the areas covered and approximate time frames for each (this will vary based on your unique situation): Accounts Receivable - 1 month Accounts Payable - 1 month Cash Flow - 2 months Monthly Reporting - 2 months Customer Information - 1 month Job Costing - 1 month Turnover and Retention - 2 months Fee Structure: For companies with annual sales of up to 10 million, $60,000 For companies with between 10 million and 20 million in annual sales, $100,000 Time Commitment and Attitude: You as CEO, commit to 3 hours each week of meeting time with me virtually. You will often have projects and research assignments to complete in preparation for the next meeting. Sometimes you'll be able to delegate that work and sometimes you'll have to see to it yourself. You commit to moving forward and having an open attitude to learning and to improving your knowledge and strategies with regards to your financial/management information processes and reporting. Time Commitment on My Part:In addition to our time together, I will be spending a significant amount of time doing research on your industry and other issues that come up. I will be 100% prepared for each step of your journey whether we need to spend more or less time on any aspect. What You Will Have: As the work proceeds you will have a greater and greater understanding of how your numbers work (or not) how the information flow of your company helps you (or not) and how to address each area as your company grows. By completion, YOU will be the expert in your company's information. YOU will be able to work with accountants and others on a more than equal footing. YOU will be able to evaluate good and bad deals for your company easily.
  • Key Employee Review
    What is it? I do a deep dive into your key employee(s), what they do, how they contribute, what their complete compensation package costs, what it would cost to replace them if you needed to do so. Fee Structure: $1000 per key employee; 25% discount for five or more employees. Time Commitment on Your Part: You commit to three, one-hour virtual meetings per person. What You'll Get:You'll receive a written report including conversation summaries, compensation ranges for the position in your industry, commensurate benefit packages and anything else that will help you understand the market for that position to give you an advantage in retention and hiring.   • Business Landscape Review
    What is it? The Business Landscape Review is for companies who are starting out in a STEM-based space (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). I will perform a deep dive literature search to confirm your working knowledge of the space or help you find the leading edge or current state of knowledge as it shows up in academic literature and/or professional conferences on the topic. This Review may also be used to find potential partners and/or experts in the field. Fee Structure: Per round, $1000. The number of rounds is up to you and you can change direction, drill down or sideways, with each successive round. You're in charge. Time Commitment on Your Part:I'll need at least one hour of consultation with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to begin. After that, email communication usually suffices. You commit to responding to all emails within 2 days. What You'll Get: A bibliography with Abstracts; full-text articles where they are free. If you want me to purchase articles on your behalf, they will be charged the purchase price plus a service fee of $20 each. You select which articles you want from the Bibliography. A typical Bibliography runs 20 or more citations unless you're working on something quite rare. The first round can usually be done within one week of the first consultation call with the SME.
  • Financial Mastery Intensive: Profit Secrets for Women Owned Law Firms
    Pre-Work: Quick-Change Formula What: Deciding on the level of financial success you are ready to achieve (Vision). Learning a Quick-Change Formula to support the shift. Why: You need a Vision first, after which we can build goals working towards that Vision. Vision is the direction. The Quick-Change Formula is the specific ‘How’ of lasting change. Without that, change is often perceived as fake, or ‘program of the month’ rather than genuine. Module 1: Creating Solid Profitability What:Learn the terms and methods of budget creation. Learn how to manage using your budget. Introduce S.M.A.R.T. goals Why: Budget management is a key tool in improved profitability. S.M.A.R.T. goals are a practical tool for advancing towards your Vision. Module 2: Cash-Flow Secrets What: Understanding all the parts of cash-flow. Managing your firm’s cash-flow. Using root-cause analysis to find the source of problems. Why: Cash-flow management is a make or break skill to staying in business. Correcting problems at their source (after finding the source in root-cause analysis) is the most efficient way. Module 3: Confident Decision Making What: Taking the budgets and cash-flow work we have already done and adding the ability to make Projections using both. Learn about Scenario building with examples. Why: Confident financial decisions are possible when you understand your Projections. Module 4: Key Partnerships for Success What: Understanding the importance of key vendors and learning how to evaluate the service you are receiving from them. Why: How much things cost is a contributing factor to your profitability. If you have a poor banking relationship, it is likely that you are paying more for their services and/or money. The same goes for insurance and rent and everything else. Vendors can help protect your firm, or they can leave you exposed. Vendors can help you or hurt you, knowing when to move on is critical. Module 5: Increasing Profitability and Freedom What: Discussion of any remaining barriers to increasing profitability. Review the Change Model. Track your progress year after year in Budgeting and Profitability. Keep a Diary of your feeling, thoughts and actions relating to your firm’s financial development. Why: You now have the knowledge and tools you need to increase the profitability of your firm. The only thing that may hold you back from achieving your Vision is an internal barrier. When you can compare one year with the following year, that progress encourages you to continue to enlarge your vision and to stick with your change process every year.
